Hulya Anefi

Romania

BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Promotion

Inspired by upcycling, Fashion Design and Promotion graduate Hulya Anefi brought an old parachute from Bucharest to Sunderland, with the idea of using the material to make something new. In just three months, Hulya designed and created six new garments, giving the parachute a new life.

Our teachers were amazing, they were always looking out for us. They were really helpful and I’m so grateful for all the work they have done.

This is a great course to figure out what you like in terms of fashion because it covers fashion design and promotion, not just design.

My advice to future students is to experiment a lot, find your own way of designing and thinking, and develop a really good work ethic.

I’m really happy and grateful for taking this chance and having this opportunity here at this university.”
