Introduction
If you have a BTEC HND qualification, foundation degree or equivalent in a business discipline area you can convert it into a full honours degree with just one more year of study. You will develop key management skills and techniques found in the management of strategic projects, financial analysis, strategic management of markets and people within the context of a dynamic contemporary business environment.
Students receive advanced study materials that provide comprehensive curriculum and self-paced study questions. Tutors will develop the key unit ideas in workshops. Full-time students will progress through the programme at 3 modules per semester.

Entry Requirements
Applicants require BTEC HND in Business or equivalent qualifications to join the course.
Applications from mature students who do not have standard entry qualifications are welcomed.

Teaching and Assessment
All business programme modules are delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops. You are encouraged to develop as an independent learner, supported by a variety of facilities including extensive library provision, online databases, CD-ROM technology and full Internet access. Group work is also a key aspect of teaching and learning in the Business School.
Assessment is varied, and usually includes coursework. Specific methods will include reports, case studies, presentations, essays, phase tests and time-constrained assessments.

Top up graduates are well placed to pursue successful careers in a wide range of areas.
You will be equipped to make an immediate contribution in a broad range of production and service management positions, giving a wide choice of career options and ensuring rapid integration and career progression.
Graduates have taken positions as trainee managers and administrators in all areas of business, and as civil servants and teachers.
The degree forms a sound basis for both management training and continuous professional development programmes. A number of students advance to undertake a Masters qualification.
