The judging process

To enter the competition just submit the application form by the deadline of 26 March 2010. You will need to explain what your business idea is, why it's right for the market and how it will make money (if it's a commercial venture).

Shortlisted entrants will be asked to present their idea to a panel of judges. The presentation will consist of a 10-15 minute presentation followed by 10-15 minutes of questions from the panel.

The presentation is your chance to explain your idea in detail, and demonstrate that you fully understand your product and the market. The judges will be asking questions to help them make a decision but they're not trying to catch you out! Just relax and concentrate on showing off your business ideas as well as you can.

Winners of the University of Sunderland Blueprint competition and entrants to the regional Blueprint Competition will be announced at an Awards Dinner in June 2010.
