FP7 Funding for New Products, Processes & Services

The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) is the European Commission’s €50 billion flagship research and innovation fund designed to support public-private partnership projects aiming to develop innovative new products, processes and services.
The National Contact Point for ICT, Stephen Alexander, will be visiting the University on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 to speak to academia and local businesses/industry to discuss what funding opportunities are available within the current programme and in the future programme, Horizon 2020. Stephen will also explain what the benefits are for companies and how they can become involved.
This informative session will be held at 1pm-4pm on Wednesday 23rd May 2012, Room 112, Reg Vardy Centre, St Peters Campus, University of Sunderland, SR6 0DD.

Funding opportunities for manufacturing, construction,
automotive and software companies
A significant proportion of FP7 funding has been targeted at sectors most affected by the economic downturn, such as manufacturing, construction and automotive industries; the majority of these funding opportunities are found within the ICT work programme.
