Workforce Development
As new systems, technologies and processes emerge, the University works with organisations to design and develop customised training solutions for businesses. These solutions can be delivered at a time and place to fit in with the organisations schedules and strategy.
From IT and Digital Technology and Manufacturing, through to Business, Leadership and Management, the University of Sunderland has a diverse range of expertise and knowledge available for organisations to tap into to improve their productivity and competitiveness.
Using tailored learning materials and media, training can be delivered as a combination of taught programmes, which may include on-site training, where programmes are being delivered to larger numbers of learners, distance learning or work-based learning. Work-based learning involves the learner(s) following a study programme centred around their roles at work. Guidance is provided from staff at the University and this method of learning is particularly beneficial for individuals who want to combine higher education with professional development.
