For professional development programmes and bespoke training for industry, the University has a range of specialist training centres. These include:
- MTC - The North East's leading provider of accredited IT training for Microsoft, Novell, Citrix, Red Hat Linux, ITIL, Prince2 and CISCO.
- Integra Training & Consulting - Leading by results, Integra consistently achieves higher than national average pass rates across its range of NEBOSH, IOSH and IEMA accredited health, safety and environment courses. Integra offers a range of consultancy services across both fields, including management systems and auditing etc.
- PISO Process Improvement for Strategic Objectives - PISO is a business improvement technique developed at the University of Sunderland by Professor David Deeks. The PISO programme can be taught to anyone with a basic understanding of business in only a few hours.
