Department of Arts & Design

The Department of Arts and Design is part of the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media. Aside from teaching, the Department of Arts and Design is active in the community, industry and research.  In the last Research Assessment Exercise, which is a national audit of research quality in universities, our research was recognised as internationally excellent, with some classed as world leading.  Our research is pivotal to developing our curriculum and, through research-related projects, it impacts upon aspects of the region's cultural and economic life.
