The Faculty of Education and Society

The Faculty of Education and Society at Sunderland is a large and diverse grouping of three separate Departments whose programmes range from Teacher Training for schools and for FE, through Languages, Childhood Studies, History and English to the training of Social Workers and to Criminology.

The Faculty has a strong commitment to Research, Scholarly activity, Teaching excellence. The Quality of our academic programmes is underwritten by excellent Ofsted judgments for teacher education and by QAA verdicts for other programmes.
