Department of Education

The Department of Education is concerned with teacher education in all sectors and has a wide portfolio of provision including undergraduate, postgraduate and Masters programmes.

It has excellent quality ratings from Ofsted and very high quality partnerships with schools and colleges.

The secondary subjects on offer are Business, Design & Technology, English, ICT, Geography, Mathematics and Science.

We welcome international students from more than 100 countries to the University of Sunderland and greatly value the cultural diversity that they bring. We want to attract the brightest and the best students to join us at the University. Our two campuses - one in the city and one on the coast, are perfectly placed to ensure a life-changing student experience.

Please note that all Initial Teacher Training (ITT) places for 2012 are offered conditionally at this time, dependent on government allocations through the Training and Development Agency (TDA).
