Car parking
The University encourages its staff to use public transport in order to reduce the environmental impact of commuting.
There are two parking options available to staff:
1. Annual staff parking permit
The Annual permit for a full-time member of staff currently costs £315.12 per year, payable via monthly salary deduction. Staff with this permit have unlimited parking in all University car parks.
2. Pay and Display Permits
Staff with this permit pay the reduced rate for pay and display parking. The reduced rate is currently 30p per hour up to a maximum of £1.20 per day.
The regular pay and display fee, for people without a parking permit, is £1.50 per hour.
Pay and display permits are ideal for members of staff who are part time, car share or use alternative methods of transport to travel to on a regular basis.

Car sharing
The University encourages staff to car share with other staff members. Benefits of car sharing include reduced travel costs and access to priority car parking spaces.
