Car parking

The University encourages its staff to use public transport in order to reduce the environmental impact of commuting.

There are two parking options available to staff:

The Annual permit for a full-time member of staff currently costs £270 per year, payable via monthly salary deduction. Staff with this permit have unlimited parking in all University car parks.

Staff with this permit pay the reduced rate for pay and display parking. The reduced rate is currently 20p per hour up to a maximum of £1.10 per day.

Pay and display permits are ideal for members of staff who are part time, car share or use alternative methods of transport to travel to on a regular basis.

How to apply for a car parking permit

Please go to the Facilities website to apply for all staff park parking permits.

Staff who do not have a University parking permit will be required to pay the standard pay and display rate of £1.30 per hour.

Car sharing

The University encourages staff to car share with other staff members. Benefits of car sharing include reduced travel costs and access to priority car parking spaces.
