Car parking
Students living in Halls of Residence
Students with cars who want to park at their Halls of Residence must apply for a Residential Permit. This permit allows free parking at their contracted Halls of Residence, but is not valid for car parks on the teaching campuses.
Students who live in Halls of Residence must pay the standard rate to use the University's pay and display parking.
Students living in private accommodation
Students who do not live in Halls of Residence can apply for a University parking permit to pay the reduced rate for pay and display parking. The reduced rate is currently 20p per hour up to a maximum of £1 per day.
Students who do not have a University parking permit will be required to pay the standard pay and display rate of £1.30 per hour.
Student Blue Badge
Parking is free to students holding a Local Authority Blue Badge although they must also display a University Blue Badge permit.
Students who are not Council/Local Authority Blue Badge holders must contact disability support prior to applying for a permit.
