The Nexus Metro is a light railway service that runs across Tyne and Wear.

Sunderland Metro card

Students living in the Sunderland area can apply for a Metro card which allows unlimited travel Monday to Friday between Brockley Whinns and South Hylton. This travel pass costs £42.50 a year.

Take the application form to the Nexus TravelShop located at Park Lane interchange, Sunderland. You will also need a current University enrolment certificate (stamped and signed) and one of the following: your Students' Union card, passport or driving licence.
