Course overview

This London-based top-up course allows you to achieve an MBA qualification in less than six months – so it’s a fast track to new opportunities and enhanced career prospects. To join the course you should already hold a Diploma in Management Studies, or the Executive Diploma from the CMI, and you should have suitable managerial experience.

The top-up course at our London campus includes two taught modules: ‘Global Corporate Strategy’ and ‘International Business Environment’. You will also undertake a dissertation on a topic that you negotiate with your tutor, based on your personal interests and career aspirations.

Course content

  • MBA Dissertation (60 Credits)

Teaching and assessment

You will complete a dissertation on a topic that you negotiate with your tutor. There is a high level of personal research and independent working, under supervision from your tutor.

Assessment is mainly through assignments and the dissertation.

You will study at the University of Sunderland’s London Campus, which is just 10 minutes’ walk from Canary Wharf Underground Station on the Jubilee Line.

All computers provide essential applications as well as high-speed internet with access to email and our Integrated Learning Environment Live Campus system. You can also link your own laptop into our wireless network. If you have any problems, our friendly IT professionals will be ready to help you.

Students’ lounge

The students’ lounge area is the centre of campus life and the ideal place to take a well-deserved break. There is a sociable atmosphere, comfortable seating and wide-screen televisions as well as areas to relax and play table tennis, table football or pool.

Academic Qualifications

For postgraduate courses it is necessary to have a degree equivalent to a UK honours degree and in some cases, relevant work experience.

The annual tuition fee for this course is £4,700 for students from the UK / EU.

If you are a University of Sunderland graduate, you are eligible for a £375 alumni discount.

This means that the total tuition fee you will pay is £4,325.

International fee

The annual tuition fee for this course is £6,250.

Additional tuition fee discount for international students

All courses require you to pay 50% of the total tuition fee as a deposit.

However, if you pay 100% of your tuition fee at this early stage, you will receive an extra £750 discount on your tuition fee.

This would reduce the total cost of this course to £5,550.
