First Year Module Choices

By studying this course you will develop essential skills and critical understanding that are relevant to broadcast journalism in radio, television and on-line media. There is a strong emphasis on reporting and production underpinned by knowledge and understanding of working practices and legal frameworks.  In your first year you will study the following modules:

  • MAC113 Introduction to Broadcast Reporting
  • MAC116 Introduction to Academic Research Skills
  • MAC124 History of Broadcasting
  • MAC191 Principles of Broadcast Journalism
