First Year Module Choices

Public Relations is a fascinating and exciting media-related industry where careers can take many directions. This course attracts a wide variety of people and and anyone who is interested in the media world will gain an excellent grounding in writing, media relations, internal communications, marketing, crisis management and media law. In your first year you will study the following modules:

MAC101 Introduction to Media & Cultural Studies
MAC116 Introduction to Academic Research Skills
MAC163 Introduction to PR Theory & Practice (1)
MAC164 Introduction to PR Theory & Practice (2)
MAC165 Introduction to PR in Marketing
MAC189 Introduction to News, Magazine & Sports Journalism
