Photography
The Photography Department runs a range of photographic programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate and research levels. We have established a considerable reputation for quality and diversity both within the UK, Europe and other world centres for photography. The staff team, consisting of practitioners and theorists, are all research active, publishing, exhibiting, and giving papers both nationally and internationally. These vary in style and approach and reflect some of the breadth of photography within the school.

North East Photography Network
Our Photography Department is home to the North East Photography Network, which is co-funded by the Arts Council of England. The Network brings together people interested and involved in developing high quality, critically engaged photographic practice in the North East.
