Craig Ames
BiographyAmes' interest in photography began when he trained as an Evidence Photographer whilst serving as a soldier in the British Army in Northern Ireland. Operating in this context proved to be the catalyst for his fascination with the documentary processes. Whilst much of his earlier work is autobiographical in nature, Ames' practice has developed to encompass his diverse research interests, including: landscape photography and topographical surveys, portraiture and the representation conflict and the military.
