Faculty-level feedback

Each Faculty at the University gathers and responds to student feedback in various ways.

Faculty of Applied Sciences

The Faculty of Applied Sciences has Student / Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) to discuss students' issues, and uses SunSpace to give students information about actions taken in response to their feedback.

This feedback is currently organised at Department level, and each SSLC has a dedicated area within the Faculty's 'Student Zone' on Sunspace, where information about actions being taken in response to student feedback can be found by all Faculty students.

A 'Student Voice / Student Representation' webpage is under development to provide details about Student Representatives, along with further opportunities to give feedback.

Faculty of Arts, Design and Media

The Faculty of Arts, Design and Media has Student / Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) to discuss students' issues. The SSLC Student Representatives then share feedback with their fellow students and tell them what actions are being taken in response to students' feedback.

The Faculty also has a Student Experience Coordinator who deals with matters which require an individual response.

The Faculty uses feedback from students to identify key actions, which are listed in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media webpage 'You told us, we did'.

Faculty of Business and Law

The Faculty of Business and Law has Student / Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) to discuss students' issues. The SSLC Student Representatives then share feedback with their fellow students and tell them what actions are being taken in response to students' feedback.

There are four SSLCs:

  • Law (undergraduate and postgraduate)
  • Business, Management and Tourism (undergraduate)
  • Business, Management and Tourism (postgraduate)
  • Business, Management and Tourism (top up)

Each SSLC has a dedicated area on SunSpace, which has a 'you said, we did' entry. Students can access this to see what actions have been taken from their feedback, and they can also leave their own feedback in that area.

Faculty of Education and Society

The Faculty of Education and Society has Student / Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) to discuss students' issues. The SSLC Student Representatives then share feedback with their fellow students and tell them what actions are being taken in response to students' feedback.

A SSLC page for each programme is available on SunSpace. Students can use the page to give feedback and find out about actions taken in response to previous feedback.
