Students' Union

The University of Sunderland Students' Union is run by students, for students. As well as providing welfare support and representing the views of students, the Students' Union also organises social activities and negotiates discounts in local shops and restaurants for students.

The Students' Union also organises a number of regular social events at its two venues The North Shore and Bonded Warehouse.

Advice and Support

The Students' Union Advice Centre provides independent help for students, on a range of topics including immigration, consumer rights, housing, emotional welfare and financial issues.

Campus Card

Membership of the Students' Union is free for all students at the University of Sunderland, and members receive a Campus Card. The Campus Card is your ticket to student discounts of between 10% and 20% at cinemas, shops and bars.

Clubs and Societies

Coming to university is a great chance to discover new talents and meet new people, and with more than 50 clubs and societies you'll never have a better chance to try something new.

The University of Sunderland's clubs and societies range from the afro-caribbean society to the water polo team, and if you don't find a club or society that suits you then simply start your own.
