Animation Students and Graduates
Here are some examples of our fantastic students and graduates:
Alex Collier
Alex, who graduated in 2009 with a first in BA (Hons) Animation and Design, has created a comedy animation revealing the most absurd, windy and dramatic night in comedian Vic Reeves' life. Voiced by the man himself, this beautifully drawn film was created by Alex and Pett Productions for the BBC and NFM Jesting About Comedy Initiative. You can view the film here.
David Hutchinson
When David was a level 3 student he was highly commended as part of the Wellcome Trust's Design4Science competition. He then went on to receive world-wide success with his short film about viruses called 'Doctor with Degree'. David also had his animation 'The Old Man and the Bee' shown at the Manchester Exposures Film Festival and received great feedback about his American style animation about a mutant bee and a pensioner. You can view 'The Old Man and the Bee' here.
Ross Phillips
Ross picked up the Qoob TV Student Prize at the 2008 Radar Festival. Following his success at the Radar awards, Ross has landed a spot on an Italian MTV show with his final degree assignment about a bird watcher and some murderous crows. His film called 'The Bird Watcher' landed him a €200 euro prize and valuable air time for his work. You can view 'The Bird Watcher' here.
