Sport and exercise sciences are all essential elements in making the difference between winning and losing at every level, from the school sports day to an Olympic final.
While we are superbly equipped with top-of-the-range facilities to provide you with hands-on training and experience, we also have knowledgeable and experienced teaching staff to support you in your studies. Staff are approachable and friendly but deeply committed to their specialist subject areas and to the development of their students. Indeed, this willingness to work with students and share their knowledge is one of the most commented upon areas by our external examiners.
We have developed a range of successful undergraduate and postgraduate courses to suit people from all sorts of backgrounds and all types of interests. Our courses have been designed to ensure that they meet the needs of the sport, exercise and health, and leisure areas of employment. As a result, our graduates can gain access into many different working environments in the public, commercial and voluntary sectors of sport, health and leisure.
We have also developed a range of Foundation Degrees that are delivered by collaborating partner colleges, which lead many students to vocational comployment or, alternatively, offers another route to our Sport and Exercise Development honours degree.
