Advanced Maintenance
An EU Framework 6 IP Project exploits expertise in dynamic decisionmaking in maintenance systems and is entitled DYNAMITE (Dynamic Decisions in Maintenance, £235k). Another EU Framework 6 IP project entitled POSSEIDON (Progressive Oil Sensor System for Extended IDentification ONline, £69k, is aimed at improved online identification systems. EU collaborative partners include VTT of Finland. There have been key publications in this field. The main research activities being conducted concern software, data capture & data analysis techniques, condition monitoring, integration of maintenance strategies and implementation of maintenance practices. Integration of these themes is common to much of the work of this group.
