e-Learning
A new focus on research in support of teaching has brought together previously disparate work on e-learning, uniting research on technology, design and use.
Research now focuses on the design, evaluation and use of learning objects, especially the need for these to be pedagogically re-useable in a range of cultural contexts and editable by teachers, as well as innovative approaches to personal, social and emotional learning focusing on the use of 3D self-animating synthetic characters to support emergent narrative and empathic interaction (eCIRCUS project).
