Intelligent Systems
The focus of the Intelligent Systems Group is on learning from nature and building hybrid intelligent systems, which integrate nature-inspired techniques within their computational architectures, e.g. neural networks, statistical analysis, genetic algorithms, and knowledge-based methods.
Research application areas include cognitive robotics and navigation, processing language/speech, analysing images, monitoring machine conditions, forensic computing and health data mining.
