Student/Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC)

Student/Staff Liaison Committee Meetings (SSLC's)  take place once per term (3 times per year) for each of the following departments:

  • Psychology
  • Pharmacy, Health and Wellbeing (split into UG and PG programmes)
  • Sport and Exercise Sciences

Meetings are chaired by the Head of Department (or his chosen representative) and attended by Programme and Level Leaders, the Faculty's Student Liaison Officer and all Student Representatives within the department, regardless of their programme.

Please Note: The Department of Computing, Engineering and Technology hold smaller programme level meetings prior to programme boards of  studies - Student Representatives will be contacted separately about these meetings.

About the Meetings
  • Reps are invited to the meetings via their student email
  • agenda and papers for the meetings are sent to reps electronically approximately one week before the meeting takes place but can also be accessed from the SSLC folder in the Faculty of Applied Sciences - Student Zone on SunSpace
  • Reps bring any feedback they have received from students on their programme to the meeting for discussion

After the Meetings

  • minutes and actions lists are circulated to all members of the SSLC 
  • action lists are posted on the 'you said it, we did it' page of this website and in the SSLC folder in the Faculty of Applied Sciences - Student Zone on SunSpace for all students to read
  • minutes are fed into Module and Programme Boards of Studies
