Study at a Partner Institution

The University works in partnership with a number of local college partners in the North East region and further afield, which means that you can opt to study closer to home at your local Further Education College or at one of our partner institutions.

You can choose from a wide range of Foundation Degrees, relatively new qualifications that combine academic study with a strong vocational focus.

Foundation Degrees are a qualification in their own right, however, after completing a Foundation Degree you can come to the University and study for a full Honours Degree (this usually takes about a year, longer if you want to study part-time). Some partners also offer Teacher Training courses and full Bachelors' Degrees.

You may not have previously considered a University education but our strong partnerships with the colleges opens up new pathways and opportunities for everyone. As a student at a partner institution you will have access to the university facilities and support services as well as those at the partner institution.

To find out more information on studying at one of our partner institutions please call the Educational Partnerships Office: 0191 515 3892.
