Entry Qualifications

It is not always easy for international students to equate their qualifications with those of British applicants. The University has a team of experienced admissions staff who will quickly answer all of your questions about your application.  Each application is considered on its merits and we give careful consideration to other factors such as work experience and maturity. Our experience over many years has shown that international students perform very well on our courses.


English Language Requirements

If you have not studied on a course where English is the taught language, you will have to offer one of the following or an equivalent qualification:

  • British Council IELTS band 6 or above
  • TOEFL score of 550 or above or 213 CBT or 79 Internet Based Tests (IBT)
  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) grade C or above
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) grades A or B
  • 0-level English Language or GCSE English Language, grades A, B or C (UK Exam Board)
  • Malaysian SPM 1119, grade 6 or above (only grades 1, 2 and 3 are acceptable for Law)
  • Degree in English
