Business and Management
At Sunderland Business School we offer both general and route specific degrees covering Business and Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management. All of our programmes combine academic rigour with practical, vocational, and transferable skills.
Our focus is on the professional study, identity, and employability of our graduates. We offer both general and route specific degrees, and have also developed a range of programmes carrying professional accreditation; Accounting and Finance (ACCA) and in HRM (CIPD). We are also currently pending approval with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Our undergraduate courses are focused on showing you how to become an effective manager. You will be introduced to the key principles of accounting, world economy, management and marketing management and HRM and begin to develop relevant practical skills for management, and early introductions of full business simulations. All of our undergraduate students are given the opportunity to do an industrial placement.
Our Postgraduate programmes are designed to further your skills, knowledge and practical understanding of your chosen specialism. This is underpinned by accredited Peer Action Learning Sets (PALS), which are designed to give students a cross-cultural experience, as well as an opportunity to develop their personal professional development.
All of our programmes include additional learning opportunities, including Company Visits, Guest Lectures and Study visits.
