At THE, our aim is to provide students the opportunity to develop subject specific knowledge and expertise, and also to develop transferable skills in communication, team working, problem solving. Our central aim is to instil within our graduates a sense of the importance of lifelong learning to help make sense of a rapidly evolving world. Within the Tourism and Hospitality programmes, you can choose modules including Sport Tourism and Mega Events, Urban Tourism, E-Tourism, International Hospitality Management, Mass Tourism, and many others. As a result, our courses are an excellent springboard for your future career.
Our Events programmes are focused on a rapidly developing events industry. Through work placements and live projects you have the chance to plan and manage events throughout your studies. Combined with relevant work experience this will give you the edge in a competitive industry.
Our courses have been developed in close collaboration with the tourism, hospitality and events industries and we have built strong links with professionals across the UK and Europe through our participation in European Union development programmes. All our courses involve residential fieldtrips (e.g. to Dublin, Prague, Barcelona, New York) and opportunities for work-based learning.
