Partnerships

We are proud to be recognised as a welcoming, accessible university, which offers opportunities for anyone to join us and make the most of life and work.

We work in partnership with a number of colleges in the north east, UK and across the world to open up new routes to degrees, which means that you can opt to study closer to home at your local further education college.

You can choose from a wide range of foundation degrees, which combine academic study with a strong vocational focus.

Foundation degrees are a qualification in their own right. However, you can come to the university and study for a full honours degree after completing a foundation degree. This usually takes about a year, longer if you want to study part-time.

If you haven't thought about university before, it may be a little overwhelming. Our faculty has first class support in place for all our students, so you feel as if you are part of a 'family'.

If you are studying at any of our partner colleges you are welcome to use the University facilities and support services as well as those at the college. It could be the most exciting, rewarding decision of your life.
