At Sunderland Alexander is currently Programme Leader of the BA in Applied Management programme and also lectures in Strategic Management and Employability Skills. His other areas of interest are Organisational Development and Quality Management.Alexander has had experience in both public and private sector. The three commercial occupation areas involved marketing business equipment, computer programmer/systems analyst and personnel management followed by a number of years as a Director of a Further Education College.
Alexander has also carried out a number of consultancy/training projects for organisations across the North East of England mainly in the areas of management development and quality improvement /systems development. The organisational sectors he has worked with have included Fashion, Tourism and Electronics.
