Donna Whitehead is a Principal Lecturer in Law and Chair of the Law Module Assessment Board, the Faculty Quality Management Sub-Committee, and the Studies Board. Her teaching and research interest is family law and Donna has a particular interest in the legal response to the changing nature of families and family life. With substantial experience of programme leadership, development and review, Donna regularly chairs programme approval and review panels. Donna is also an external examiner at Bournemouth University and works closely with Hartlepool Sixth Form College, a strategic partner of Sunderland University. Donna is also a member of the Faculty Academic Experience Committee and the Centre for Children, Young Persons and Families.
