Principal Lecturer in Accounting

Elewechi is a Principal Lecturer in Accounting, with a wealth of experience spanning over 31 years in academia. She has a keen interest in the advancement of knowledge through teaching, research and reach-out. She has taught and examined a wide range of accounting subjects and supervises students’ dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the supervision of PhD students.
Elewechi’s main academic interests are in corporate governance, accountability and audit. She is particularly keen in exploring the links between teaching, research and practice in these areas, and is innovative in her approach to teaching and learning. She is actively engaged in research in accountability and governance, students’ engagement and employability. Elewechi is a member of the School Management Team and serves on a number of committees. She enjoys external credibility and recognition, and belongs to a number of national and international professional organisations.
