Emma completed her LL.B at the University of Sunderland and graduated in July 2010 with First Class Honours and an NALP Diploma in Paralegal Studies. She also received the Mortons Solicitors Award for Outstanding Achievement in Law as well as the Paralegal Award for Criminal Law in 2008. Emma has carried out extensive research in the area of Criminal Evidence, specifically evidence of character and is currently studying for her PhD in this area.
The working title for Emma’s PhD is: ‘Bad Character Evidence and the Criminal Justice Act 2003: Ordering Chaos or Individualising Cases?’
