Steve Storey has a dual role at the Sunderland University he is chair of the academics union UCU (University and College Union) and lectures on marketing in the undergraduate programme in the faculty of Business and Law. His service here spans 20 years and there are few aspects of marketing that he has not covered. Prior to his university career he worked as a retail sales manager for an electronics firm, but the bulk of his experience, covering 14 years, was in the brewing industry in operations and marketing management. This prior experience gave him the ideal background as Chief Executive and Founder of A.B.L.E. Ltd. a business enterprise student run company.
Steve has had a heavy involvement in the enterprise Reach Out programmes working closely with the Business Innovation Centre and Industry Centre. Overseas experience in teaching and management consultancy for the University covers several years and variety of institutions and companies in Bulgaria, Slovakia, France and Bahrain.
