In September 2004 Dr Tie Xu joined Sunderland Business School. Since his appointment Dr Tie Xu has developed a portfolio of modules for contemporary Operations Management underpinned by his subject expertise and research insights. He has been leading our undergraduate subject team of Operations Management across all three levels. He has also been leading our teaching and developments in the subject area of Service Management and Supply Chain Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a reviewer for FT Prentice-Hall and MacGraw-Hill for core textbooks in the above subject areas. In 2006 Dr Tie Xu has also taken on the leadership role for our MSc Applied Management programme where we have a fast growing demand for work-based learning from practicing managers and working professionals in the North East region.
