Our undergraduate courses are focused on showing you how to become an effective manager. You may choose to opt for a specialist area of business or remain flexible with our generic route. Whatever your direction, you can be safe in the knowledge that you'll be quickly progressing up the career ladder after graduation. The first year is your chance to get to grips with the foundations of business knowledge; you will be introduced to the principles of accounting, world economy, management and business law. You will also start developing practical business skills for managers.

In your second year you will develop a strategic understanding of business and you will have the opportunity to study specialist modules in a business area. During your second year we actively encourage you to start thinking about an industrial placement for your third year. In your final year you will produce a dissertation, which will demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of a business area, whilst studying further specialised options. We are committed to providing programmes that combine academic rigour with practical, vocational, and transferable skills. You will develop the core academic skills of independent learning, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication. You will also gain a wide range of vocational skills, such as team working, report writing and presentation delivery.

We appreciate that your career aspirations can sometimes change or you can develop particular interests during your first year of study. Our courses are designed to allow some flexibility and you will have the opportunity to change your route before your second year if you so wish. Whatever your career choice, employability is a key aim of the school and you will be qualified to go onto a well paid job in your chosen profession.

For those wanting to pursue full-time postgraduate study we offer MBA and MBS programmes.  You can also study postgraduate courses in International Management, Marketing and Human Resource Management.
