Children, Young People and Families
The Centre will support those who work with children, young people and families and respond to the workforce reform demands arising from the
Every Child Matters Agenda. The Centre will work with the maintained, voluntary and private sector, predominantly, though not exclusively within the North East. The Centre will both co-ordinate existing activities across a number of University departments and develop new opportunities.

The Centre leads the work of the University in the research, teaching and outreach work essential to achieving the ambitions set out in the government's Every Child Matters Agenda. It works with all disciplines and professions so that together we can reduce inequality, increase opportunity and promote well being for children, young people and their families.
