Equalities and Social Justice
The research strand Equalities and Social Justice (ESOJ) comprises members of the Department of Social Sciences who are engaged in research in these fields, together with associate members from across the Faculty of Education and Society.Our work has regional, national and international recognition. However, this work is not new to the Faculty of Education and Society. This research strand builds on a long tradition of equalities and social justice work undertaken by a range of eminent scholars at Sunderland since the 1970s at least.
