Department of Culture
The Department of Culture is extremely diverse, offering both a breadth and a depth of possibilities in a learning environment based on research at national and international levels.
We provide undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes in English, Creative Writing, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Politics, and the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages, as well as the opportunity to study for a PhD in these areas.
We welcome international students from more than 100 countries to the University of Sunderland and greatly value the cultural diversity that they bring. We want to attract the brightest and the best students to join us at the University. Our two campuses - one in the city and one on the coast - are perfectly placed to ensure a life-changing student experience.
