The University of Sunderland has been named a National Centre for Excellence for Teacher Training (CETT) for further education by the Department for Education and Skills and the Quality Improvement Agency. SUNCETT aims to substantially increase and enhance teacher education opportunities in the region.
The University is working with Further Education colleges and other partners to improve standards in initial and continuing teacher education.
