BIOGRAPHY
Rachel Featherstone is currently employed as an academic tutor in the Faculty of Education and Society. She teaches political and social theory as well as research methods and gender and diversity.
RESEARCH INTERESTS AND EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENTS
Rachel Featherstone's own research is concerned with human rights. She is particularly interested in the philosophical and cultural basis of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This interest extends to the vehicles through which rights are asserted and the new social movements that often serve as a basis for the promotion of human rights.
