Our Location
The Faculty of Education and Society is based across the City Campus, the Award-Winning Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter's and the Centre for Lifelong Learning in Newcastle.
- The Department of Education is based in Forster Building at the City Campus and the David Goldman Informatics Centre at the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter's
- The Department of Social Sciences is based in our Priestman Building on the City Campus
- The Department of Culture is based in the Priestman Building on the City Campus and the Media Centre at the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter's
The award-winning Sir Tom Cowie Campus is situated on the bank of the River Wear and is located close to Sunderland City Centre.
Opposite the David Goldman Informatics Centre we have St Peter's Church. The church was a monastery, built in 674 AD and has recently been nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site 2010.

Forster Building and Priestman Building are based on our City Campus where students will have access to the entire city's shopping and leisure facilities.
The Bridges Shopping Centre is the heart of the shopping scene in Sunderland, housing over 100 top name high street stores. New investment in the city is bringing independent shops and boutiques into the city centre with the renovation of the Victorian streets around the Sunniside quarter.
The Limelight complex is is a recently developed entertainment area which is host to a 12 screen cinema, casino, bars and restaurants. It is situated opposite to the wear river bank.
Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens combines a museum, art gallery, exhibition space and winter gardens to create a stunning visitor attraction in the heart of the city centre with the backdrop of the beautiful Mowbray Park, one of the oldest municipal parks in the North East.
