Biography
My first degree is in Pedagogy from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (Greece). My doctoral thesis was about primary school teachers, knowledge of environmental education in Greece and England from Durham university (UK). I have taught with the Open University two classical Greek modules (level 1 and 2) and since 2007, I have been a full-time member of staff working at the University of Sunderland within the department of social sciences, teaching early childhood studies.
Teaching Areas
Research methods, Nature of childhood, families in contemporary society.
Research Interests
Environmental education, education for sustainability, National curriculum and non statutory elements.
