Dr Michael Pearce: language in politics; electioneering discourse; dialectology.
Two other staff contribute, and have produced publications such as a monograph on drama dialogue (Ashgate Press, 2007) and articles in Language and Literature and Children's Literature in Education. One of these members of staff is also involved as Principal Investigator in an AHRC bid (2 years, £80,000), jointly with Strathclyde University, for a project on the Kate Adie Collection (archived at the University of Sunderland).
