Entertainment at the University of Sunderland is well catered for with regular events at the Students' Union venues North Shore and Bonded Warehouse, but there's also plenty going on in the City. Whatever you're into, there's always something going on in Sunderland.
Nightlife
As the largest city in the North East, Sunderland has a buzzing nightlife.
Students are spoilt for choice with a range of bars and clubs in the city, and with much of the student accommodation in the heart of the city or a short shuttle bus ride away, it's no wonder that Sunderland is known as something of a party town for students.
Music
Sunderland is a regular stop on the gig circuit - Oasis, Pink, Take That, the Foo Fighters, The Chemical Brothers and the Black Eyed Peas are amongst those who have come to play in Sunderland the last few years.
The city's also produced its fair share of musical talent: recent bands to come out of Sunderland include The Futureheads, Field Music and Frankie & the Heartstrings.
