Welcome Week
Coming to university can be a nerve-wracking experience for even the most confident people. To help new students settle in and make friends the University organises a 'Welcome Week' (also known as 'Fresher's Week') at the start of the Autumn term.
Only first-year students are on campus during Welcome Week, with all other students arriving a week later.
Welcome Week gives new students the chance to settle into their accommodation, join the Students' Union's clubs and societies, get to know the University and city and - of course - meet other students and make new friends. A programme of Welcome Week events and activities will be made available in due course.
