Help when it's needed
Money is an important issue during university life. It's the first year of your life-changing experience and we want you to concentrate on enjoying it. That's why we try and help you with your finances as much as possible.
Sensible advice can be obtained from our Financial Counselling team who are available on a drop-in or appointment basis at The Gateway, 1st Floor Edinburgh Building, City Campus, Chester Road.
Advice can be provided on all aspects of student funding, including loans, grants and state benefits, for both full-time and part-time students. Assistance can also be provided in identifying relevant charities, trusts and other award-making bodies for supplementary funding. A debt counselling service is also available.
In addition, information and forms can be supplied on the various bursary and hardship funds which are administered by the University of Sunderland.
