Study in your own country

The University of Sunderland has students from around the world to study in the UK, however we can also bring our product to you! All registered students have full access to our electronic library and we have a team in the library dedicated to supporting you in your own country.

Independent distance learning

If you wish to study without the direct support of a local centre we offer programmes in independent distance learning. Teaching and assessment methods include

  • web-based
  • cd-rom
  • printed materials
  • self-assessment exercises
  • tutor support via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings, where possible.

Centre-based programmes

Some courses are centre-based which means that they are offered in conjunction with a partner and this requires you to attend that centre for tuition. These programmes are normally studied on a part-time basis which enables you to continue working. Centres arrange tuition, which may mean attendance in the evening and/or weekends.
