Accommodation for couples and families
Some university accommodation is available for students who want to live with their partner and/or children. At least one of the couple must be a registered Sunderland student.
Family / couple accommodation is strictly limited and we recommend booking as early as possible. If you are considering bringing your partner or family to Sunderland you should contact the Accommodation Office before making travel arrangements.

Please note that the one-bed flats at Scotia Quay are for couples, and are not suitable for friends who want to live together. Shared accommodation for friends is available at Clanny House in the form of two-bed units.

The University has a number of family houses which are suitable for up to two adults and two children:
